Accountant – Hospitality Client Portfolio (North East)
Location: Remote (North East England) with regular client visits
Office Base: Merseyside (bi-weekly attendance, reducing to monthly once established)
Salary: up to £40,000

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Practice Accountant to manage a diverse portfolio of hospitality clients across the North East. This is a client-facing role combining technical accounting expertise with strong relationship management, ensuring clients receive accurate financial reporting, commercial insight, and proactive support.
The role is primarily remote, with regular travel to client sites across the North East and periodic attendance at the Merseyside office.

Key Responsibilities

Manage a portfolio of hospitality clients, acting as their primary accounting contact
Prepare and review yearend accounts, management accounts, financial statements, and reports
Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis for clients
Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements
Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular visits and communication
Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and drive efficiency for client
About You:

Qualified accountant (AAT, QBE,ACA, ACCA or equivalent)
Proven experience in an accounting role (practice), ideally with hospitality or multi-client portfolios
Strong technical accounting knowledge combined with commercial awareness
Excellent communication and client relationship skills
Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
Willing to travel regularly across the North East
Able to attend the Merseyside office on a bi-weekly basis (reducing to monthly once settled)
