Production Supervisor

A market leading company based in Bootle is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor/Team Leader to join their growing company.

Part of global group my client specialise in the manufacture and supply of award winning composite doors and fire doors for commercial and residential markets. The company is going from strength to strength with exciting growth plans for their UK site.

As a result of this they are growing their CNC/Machining teams, and are seeking a Production Supervisor/Team Leader to lead their 6am - 2pm shift (Monday to Friday)

Your role will involve:

* Ensuring all product are made to specification

* Driving KPIs and Accountability for the team

* Leading and promoting better working practises and improvements.

* Quality Assurance / Control

* Responsible for Training and Deveopment of the team

* Focusing on producing a quality product, in line with the production planning schedule whilst ensuring targets are met

* Working hands on with the machines if there is a staff shortage for any reason

The ideal candidate will have the following experience:

* Team Supervision experience a necessity

* CNC Machining Experience ideal

* Wood, Composite, Injection Moulding, furniture experience would be useful

* Other machine knowledge such as beam saws, edge banders would be beneficial

* Enthusiasm to help improve production processes

* Knowledge of Lean Principles and 5S

* Good communication skills

This is a permanent role working Monday to Friday on a morning shift, offering excellent career opportunities too
