An established and rapidly growing UK-based engineering business, specialising in precision manufacturing and advanced industrial machinery solutions, is seeking an experienced Service Engineer to join its dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity to work with advanced metal fabrication machinery and manufacturing equipment, supporting a diverse customer base across multiple high-spec industries.
Reporting to the UK Service Manager, this is a national position supporting customers with installation, maintenance, and technical service on a range of industrial machinery across the UK and Ireland.
Service Engineer Responsibilities
Carry out installation, commissioning, and servicing of metal fabrication machinery and industrial manufacturing equipment at customer sites across the UK and Ireland.
Diagnose faults and perform both mechanical and electrical repairs on a range of production machinery, ensuring minimal downtime for clients.
Deliver preventative maintenance and planned service schedules to optimise machine performance and reliability.
Produce detailed service reports and maintain accurate documentation following site visits.
Support machine installations, upgrades, retrofits, and customer training when required.
Stay up to date with emerging manufacturing technologies and product developments to maintain a high level of technical expertise.Service Engineer Requirements
Demonstrable experience working as a Field Service Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, or Service Technician within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
Previous experience working with industrial machinery, CNC equipment, metal fabrication machinery, automation systems, or other production equipment.
Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
HND qualification or equivalent time-served engineering background.
Full UK driving licence.
