Kirkby in Ashfield, Nottinghamshire, United Kingdom
Logistics
Immediate Start
£13 - £13 Hourly
Full-Time
JT Recruit are currently looking for a Reverse Logistics Operative on behalf of our client in Kirkby in Ashfield to join their growing team. This role is a temp to perm, working Monday to Friday, 8am – 4.30pm, paying £13.00 per hour.

This isn't your standard warehouse role. We are looking for a "Hybrid Operative” who is just as comfortable using hand tools, moving stock as they are navigating inventory software. You will be the primary gatekeeper for all returned equipment, ensuring that every item is accounted for, tracked, and processed with precision.

As a Reverse Logistics Operative, you are the critical link between the road and the warehouse. Your day-to-day will involve:

* Returns Management: Acting as the first point of contact for drivers; checking paperwork against physical stock and escalating any discrepancies or damages.

* Systems & Data: Logging all returned hardware and consumables into internal management portals to ensure 100% traceability.

* Technical Processing: Using hand tools to dismantle decommissioned equipment and preparing assets for second-stage verification.

* Operational Support: Assisting the wider warehouse team with forklift duties, picking/packing, and maintaining a safe, organised yard.

* Reporting: Working closely with the Coordinator Supervisor to provide updates on volumes and any logistical bottlenecks.

Our client values accuracy and a proactive attitude. To be successful, you should have:

* Logistics Background: Previous experience in a warehouse, returns, or logistics environment.

* IT Literacy: Confidence using Warehouse Management Systems and digital portals.

* Attention to Detail: A sharp eye for spotting missing items or damaged goods.

* Physical Fitness: Capability to handle manual lifting and stay active throughout the shift.

* Flexibility: A willingness to work overtime and weekends when required to meet customer demand.

* Driving License: Ability to jump on board and help deliver stock when required.

This is a vital role within a structured, professional environment. If you are looking for a position that offers variety, responsibility, and the chance to use your technical skills alongside your physical ones, this is the move for you.
