SEND & Alternative Provision Tutors - Wokingham Area
Some young people need more than classroom teaching.
They need someone patient, consistent, and supportive who can help them rebuild confidence and re-engage with education.
Quantum Scholars are looking to engage compassionate individuals to provide 1:1 SEND tuition and mentoring support to pupils across Wokingham and surrounding areas.
This work supports young people with SEND, SEMH, autism, behavioural needs, trauma, anxiety, medical needs, and school avoidance, many of whom are currently outside of mainstream education.
Who This Role May Suit
This opportunity may suit:
Teachers or teaching assistants
Youth workers or behaviour mentors
SEND support staff or ex-PRU staff
Sports coaches, pastoral staff, or psychology graduates
Individuals with personal SEND experience
The Role
Deliver 1:1 support to primary and secondary-aged pupils
Provide both academic and emotional support
Work may take place in homes, schools, community settings, or online
Flexible opportunities available across WokinghamThere is strong demand for tutors from September 2026 onwards, with ongoing referrals expected throughout the academic year.
Requirements
Experience supporting children or young people
Calm, adaptable and relationship-focused approach
Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
Ability to travel locally within Wokingham⚠️ You must have the right to work in the UK. Visa sponsorship is not available.
