Our client, a prominent name in the aerospace sector, are urgently looking for a driven and proactive Production Scheduler to join a high-performing supply chain team.

Role: Production Scheduler
Duration: 4 - 6 month contract
Pay: £25 - 27.50 p/hr (Inside IR35)
Location: Hamble, Southampton
Working Pattern: Fully onsiteThis is not a "sit behind a desk" planning role, you'll be embedded in the operation, working closely with the shop floor, logistics, and supply chain teams to ensure production runs smoothly and delivers on time.

This role will need someone who can build a plan, pressure test it, and adapt it daily, spotting risks, resolving bottlenecks, and keeping everything aligned.

Key Responsibilities:

Creating and managing daily & weekly production schedules
Working closely with shop floor and operations teams to track progress and resolve issues
Identifying material shortages and liaising with warehouse, logistics, and procurement
Leading and contributing to daily/weekly planning and S&OE meetings
Monitoring production against plan and adjusting in real-time
Identifying pinch points, constraints, and risks before they impact delivery
Managing WIP levels and job priorities
Escalating issues appropriately to keep production on trackThis is a high-intensity environment where priorities shift quickly and delivery is critical. To succeed if you will need to be forward thinking, comfortable taking ownership and have the ability to stay calm under pressure.

Key Requirements:

Proven experience in production scheduling / planning
Aerospace, Engineering or other similar experience
Strong understanding of manufacturing operations and workflow
Experience working with ERP/MRP systems (e.g. SAP, Tropos, Oracle)
Ability to connect the dots across production, materials, and logistics
Confident communicator who can work with multiple stakeholders
