Registered Manager – Children’s Residential Home (EBD, 3 Bed)

Location: Sutton Coldfield
Salary: £50,000 – £70,000 + performance-related pay
Contract: Full-time, Permanent

We’re supporting a growing children’s care provider to recruit a Registered Manager for a 3-bed EBD home in Sutton Coldfield.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a newly established organisation with strong leadership in place, offering the chance to lead a service, shape its culture and drive high standards of care and outcomes for young people.

The Role

As Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the overall leadership, management and performance of the home, ensuring it operates in line with the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and achieves positive outcomes for young people.

Key responsibilities include:

* Overseeing the day-to-day management and operations of the home

* Ensuring the service operates in line with its Statement of Purpose

* Leading the home to achieve and maintain ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ Ofsted ratings

* Managing, developing and supporting the staff team through supervision and leadership

* Ensuring safeguarding and compliance standards are consistently met

* Overseeing care planning, education and risk management for young people

* Maintaining effective staffing structures to meet individual needs

* Promoting a positive, safe and nurturing environment for young people

* Working in line with current legislation, policies and procedures

* Monitoring performance, quality standards and continuous improvement

The Ideal Candidate

We’re keen to speak with experienced leaders within children’s residential care who are confident in managing a home and driving high standards.

You will have:

* Experience within children’s residential care, including leadership or management responsibility

* Strong knowledge of safeguarding and regulatory frameworks

* Experience of Ofsted inspections and quality standards

* Ability to lead, motivate and develop a staff team

* Strong communication and decision-making skills

* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management (or willingness to work towards)

* Designated Safeguarding Lead Level 3 (or willingness to obtain)

* High levels of resilience, organisation and professionalism

* Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check

Salary & Benefits

£50,000 – £70,000 basic salary (DOE)
Performance-related pay

Ofsted bonuses:
£1,500 for ‘Good’
£2,500 for ‘Outstanding’ (paid following publication of report)

Additional payments linked to occupancy:
£1,250 per child placement (up to 3 placements)
