My Client is recruiting for a Senior Mechanical Engineer in the Water Sector
Job Details
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer you will be working in a creative and challenging environment, delivering a wide range of projects across our Water Sector Projects.
We working on projects to support delivery of upgrades to critical infrastructure assets including water and wastewater treatment sites, pumping stations and reservoirs within the North West during the AMP8 period.
Your work as a Senior Mechanical Engineer will include the following activities:
Leading the interfaces and integration of the mechanical design with that of other disciplines.
Management, reviewing and preparation of mechanical design deliverables (such as calculations, drawings for plant general arrangements, documentation, schedules, specifications and design reports) to achieve the correct time / cost / quality balance for the project.
Providing quality assurance of others work by undertaking check/review functions.
Supporting the development of the mechanical engineering team, coaching and mentoring junior engineers to develop their skill set and identifying the correct resource for the projects.
Experience and Qualifications:
Significant experience in the Water Sector
Degree or similar in Mechanical Engineering, or related field
Ideally Chartered Mechanical Engineer
Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, practices, and standards relating to process industries.
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Proven ability to manage multiple design tasks and meet deadlines
