HGV Trailer Technician – Sittingbourne
£20.07 per hour
Up to £45,392.36 OTE based on 5 hours overtime per week
4 on 4 off shift pattern (Days: 6:00am – 6:00pm)
1hr unpaid lunch break – 38.5hr week
The Role
We are currently seeking an experienced HGV Trailer Technician to join our team based in Sittingbourne. This HGV Trailer Technician position is ideal for someone looking for long-term stability, consistent shifts, and excellent earning potential within a professional workshop environment.
As an HGV Trailer Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a fleet of HGV trailers to a high standard while ensuring all work is completed safely and efficiently. This HGV Trailer Technician role offers a great work-life balance with a reliable 4 on 4 off shift pattern.
Key Responsibilities

Carry out routine servicing, inspections, maintenance, and repairs on HGV trailers
Diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently and to a high standard
Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety regulations
Complete job cards and workshop paperwork accurately
Work independently and as part of a skilled engineering team
Support workshop operations to minimise vehicle downtimeRequirements

Previous experience working as an HGV Trailer Technician or in a similar commercial vehicle role
Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines
Good understanding of workshop health & safety procedures
Relevant qualifications are desirable but not essential with proven experience
