About the Role
We are looking for a motivated Junior Finance Assistant to support the day‑to‑day financial operations of our Manufacturing client based in Montrose. This is an excellent opportunity for someone eager to build a career in finance and accounting, with training and development available as the role grows.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Record Keeping
Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date financial records
Organise and record invoices, expenses, and financial transactions
Accounts Payable & Receivable
Assist with processing invoices, payments, and customer receipts
Ensure timely and accurate payment processing
Track outstanding invoices and follow up when required
Bank Reconciliation
Monitor financial transactions
Reconcile bank statements and investigate discrepancies
Manage spreadsheets and perform data entry
Handle finance‑related correspondence
Respond to queries from clients, suppliers, and internal teams
Clarify financial information and help resolve issues
Requirements
1-2 Years experience in a similar role
Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
Strong numerical and analytical skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
Understanding of basic accounting principles
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
