Are you an experienced Quality Inspector with strong CMM programming experience looking for your next opportunity within precision manufacturing?

We’re supporting a specialist manufacturing business who are looking to recruit a Quality Inspector to join their quality team.

What’s the role all about?

As a Quality Inspector, you’ll play a key role in ensuring products meet strict quality standards and customer specifications across the manufacturing process.

This is a hands-on role involving detailed inspection activities, measurement reporting and close collaboration with production and engineering teams.

A key part of this role is the ability to programme and operate CMM equipment, making previous CMM programming experience essential.

Key responsibilities

Carry out first-off, in-process and final inspections on precision manufactured components

Programme and operate CMM equipment to verify dimensional accuracy

Use a range of manual inspection equipment including micrometres, verniers and gauges

Read and interpret technical engineering drawings and GD&T

Identify non-conformances and support corrective actions

Complete inspection documentation and quality records accurately

Support root cause investigations and continuous improvement activities

Work closely with Production and Engineering teams to resolve quality issues

Ensure compliance with customer, industry and internal quality standards
What you’ll need

To succeed in this role, you’ll bring:

Experience working within a Quality Inspection role in manufacturing or precision engineering

CMM programming experience – essential

Strong understanding of engineering drawings and tolerances

Experience using a range of manual measuring equipment

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable

Experience within aerospace, defence or regulated manufacturing environments

Knowledge of quality standards such as ISO 9001 or AS9100

Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives
