We are currently recruiting for an experienced and motivated Service Manager to lead the daily operations of the depot.
This is an excellent opportunity for a strong leader with a plant engineering background who is passionate about customer service, operational efficiency, and team development.
Key Responsibilities for the Service Manager:
Oversee the day-to-day running of the depot, ensuring Health & Safety standards are maintained at all times.
Provide technical support and guidance to field service engineers and customers.
Ensure all aftersales administration, including warranty claims and parts returns, is completed accurately and efficiently.
Drive revenue growth across parts sales, servicing, and repair contracts.
Support Service Controllers to ensure repair work is accurately estimated and converted into commercial opportunities.
Lead and develop the depot team through appraisals, reviews, and regular communication.
Organise toolbox talks and ensure engineers remain up to date with technical training.
Build and maintain strong customer relationships while resolving escalated service issues professionally.The successful Service Manager will have:
A strong plant engineering background.
Previous leadership or supervisory experience within a similar environment.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
The ability to work effectively under pressure and use initiative.
A professional and flexible approach to work.
Strong organisational and team management skills.Service manager Requirements:
Plant Engineering NVQ Level 3 or equivalent (preferred).
Willingness to travel across the UK & Ireland and overseas when required.
