We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Nursery Room Leader to join an excellent nursery based in Raynes Park. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education with a level 3 qualification or equivalent and a genuine love for working with young children. This role involves leading the team of Nursery Practitioners, managing the room, creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the development of children in the nursery setting. As a Nursery Room Leader, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the educational experiences of our youngest learners.

We are also looking for Nursery Practitioners and Third In Charge at the nurseries.

YOU MUST HOLD A LEVEL 2 OR 3 QUALIFICATION IN CHILDCARE / EARLY YEARS OR EQUIVILANT FOR THIS ROLE.

Job Title: Nursery Room Leader
Location: Raynes Park
Job Type: Full-time / Permanent
Salary: £29,000 - £31,500 per annum

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide high-quality care for children aged 0-5 years, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.

* Support and supervise playroom staff with their day-to-day duties

* Plan and implement engaging educational activities that promote early childhood development.

* Deploy staff appropriately to ensure that the required standards are delivered and maintained within the rooms

* Implementation of the nursery key carer procedures and allocate children to key carers appropriately

* Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating environment for children to explore and learn.

* Ensure the nursery meets the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage

* Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise.

* Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive team approach to childcare.

* Manage daily routines, including mealtimes, nap times, and play activities.

* Observe and assess children's development, documenting progress as required.

* Drive initiatives that promote leadership within the nursery setting.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required:

* Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent).

* Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.

* Strong communication and teamwork skills.

* Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.

Preferred:

* Experience working in a childcare setting.

* Paediatric First Aid certification.

* Understanding of child-led learning approaches.
