Our client is seeking an experienced Embedded Software Technical Lead with strong low-level embedded expertise to work on custom hardware platforms in pre-RTOS environments.

This role requires hands-on experience developing firmware directly on boards, with a strong understanding of hardware interaction, IC communication, and DSP. Alongside technical capability, candidates must be able to demonstrate ownership and leadership of projects or technical delivery, either as a Technical Lead, Team Lead, or Project Lead.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the development of low-level embedded firmware on custom hardware platforms
Work in bare metal / pre-RTOS environments
Develop and optimise DSP and signal processing functionality
Interface directly with ICs and embedded hardware components
Take ownership of technical delivery, architecture, and key engineering decisions
Collaborate closely with hardware and multidisciplinary engineering teams
Mentor and support engineers within the team
Drive project delivery, managing technical risks and dependenciesTechnical Skills

Proven bare metal embedded development experience
Strong low-level board and hardware interaction experience
Experience with IC communication and hardware interfaces
DSP and signal processing experience
Embedded debugging and low-level diagnostics capability
Knowledge of software architecture and embedded system design
