Rate: £82ph LTD (Outside IR35)

Role details:
Our client, a leader in the Defence & Security sector, is currently seeking a DV Cleared Software / DevOps Engineer for an initial 6-month contract, based on-site in Worcester.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborating with coworkers to conceptualise, develop, and release software.
Conducting quality assurance to ensure that the software meets prescribed guidelines.
Rolling out fixes and upgrades to software, as needed.
Securing software to prevent security breaches and other vulnerabilities.
Collecting and reviewing customer feedback to enhance user experience.
Suggesting alterations to workflow in order to improve efficiency and success.
Pitching ideas for projects based on gaps in the market and technological advancements.

Job Requirements:

Active MOD DV Clearance.
Strong proficiency with CI/CD tools such as Gitlab CI, Terraform, Ansible, Helm Charts, Python, PowerShell, and REST APIs.
Experience with Kubernetes cluster build and application delivery.
Application experience with Apache NiFi, Elastic ECK, and Artifactory.
Knowledge of secret management tools, particularly Hashicorp Vault.
Proficiency in operating systems, specifically Redhat and Windows.
Degree in computer science, software engineering, or an adjacent field.
Prior experience at all phases of the software product life cycle, from conception to extinction.
Experience using an array of automation tools.
Familiarity with software security methods.
Demonstrated experience using a wide variety of coding languages.
Top-notch decision-making and collaborative abilities.
Customer-oriented with the ability to receive and use constructive criticism.
