Are you ready to take your finance career to the next level? Our client is seeking a dynamic Accounts Receivable / Accounts Assistant to join their vibrant finance team on a permanent, full‑time basis. If you have a knack for numbers and a passion for customer service, we want to hear from you.

Role Overview

As an Accounts Receivable / Accounts Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the finance function. You will assist with collecting payments from customers, raising invoices, and resolving queries, while collaborating with multiple departments across the business.

Key Responsibilities

Daily Invoicing: Ensure timely invoicing of distribution sales
Credit Control: Manage credit control activities across multiple sales ledgers
Bank Receipts: Accurately process bank receipts to the sales ledgers
Outstanding Accounts: Send and follow up reminder letters to chase overdue balances within agreed credit terms
Query Resolution: Resolve customer queries by working closely with internal departments
Customer Statements: Review and issue monthly customer statements
Collaboration: Liaise with Sales Order Processing, Service, and Projects teams regarding orders and payments
General Accounts Support: Assist with wider accounts assistant duties as required
Policy Compliance: Ensure company policies and procedures are adhered to at all times
Ad Hoc Duties: Provide cover for purchasing and purchase ledger when required

Candidate Profile

Experience: Experience within a credit control or accounts environment
Systems: Experience using SAP is highly advantageous; confidence with finance and business systems is essential
Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills
Accuracy: High attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines under pressure
Mindset: Positive, proactive "can‑do" attitude with strong problem‑solving skills
Organisation: Excellent time management and organisational ability
Teamwork: Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
Flexibility: Open to supporting the team with new or additional tasks
