Jackson Hogg are delighted to be partnering with our well established client who are looking to appoint a specialist Modig Maintenance Technician (Electrically biased) to join them on a permanent basis.
This is a day shift position, Monday to Friday working with a competitive salary on offer. International travel may be required on occasion as part of this role, along with national travel to their other facility in the North East of England. There will also be an initial training period spent overseas once succseful.
Job Description
* Lead efficiency improvement initiatives such as breakdown eliminations, and labour hour reductions associated with preventive maintenance activities. Initially, the Modig technician will focus on improving (MTR) mean time to repair and maximising mean time between failure (MTBF).
* Design, build, and improve operator lead maintenance activities with the overall goal of establishing a TPM strategy.
* Work with external suppliers / contractors to provide expert lead solutions to complex problems, building up technical knowledge of each asset.
* Coordinate with local site management to ensure proper training, procedural compliance, maintenance, and safety practices are followed for new and existing equipment.
* Effectively influence, negotiate, and communicate with internal and external business partners, contractors, and vendors.
* Develop maintenance standards, documentation, and practices.
* Develop and mentor technicians to improve asset performance, reliability, and site technical expertise.
Skills Required
* Electrically biased maintenance background with good understanding of working in a heavy machinery environment.
* A good understanding of mechanical principles.
* Understand/read engineering drawing and schematics
* Omron PLC fault finding skills.
* Understanding of motor controls, drives, invertors etc
* Fanuc robot recovery and programming knowledge advantageous.
