Shunter Driver
* Arbor Forest Products, New Holland, North Lincolnshire
* £15.84 per hour
* 39 hours per week | Day Shift Only | 6:00am – 3:00pm
* Permanent role from day one
The Role
We are looking for a reliable and motivated Shunter Driver to join our team at our New Holland site. This is a day-shift-only position offering stable hours and the opportunity to work within a well-established and growing business. If you have an experience as a shunter driver, please get in touch.
Main Duties:
* Coordinate the movement of trailers on-site to ensure timely loading
* Manage trailer park areas efficiently
* Assist visiting drivers in adhering to site rules
* Carry out vehicle checks to prevent defective trailers from being loaded
* Monitor trailer availability and report shortages to the Loading Supervisor
* Secure or assist in securing loads for timely departures
* Close trailer curtains on loaded trailers at shift end and during adverse weather conditions
* Complete occasional customer deliveries as required
* Run vehicles to vendors for servicing
* Support general yard activities including de-skidding
* Maintain high housekeeping standards within the yard

Skills, Knowledge & Experience
Essential:
* LGV Class 1 Licence
* Driver CPC Card
* Good communication skills
Personal Attributes

* Confident, enthusiastic and approachable

* Flexible and works well as part of a team
* Responsible and dependable
* Able to build positive working relationships
* Capable of working on their own initiative
