Senior Fire Safety Surveyor West London | £450 Per Day | 12 Week Contract | Immediate Start

We are currently supporting a major organisation with the appointment of an experienced Senior Fire Safety Surveyor to join their Compliance and Building Safety team on an interim basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong fire safety professional to step into a visible and influential role within a complex operational environment, helping drive compliance, resident safety, and best practice across a varied estate.

The Role You will support the delivery of fire safety compliance and building safety services across a diverse residential and operational portfolio.

Working closely with internal teams, contractors, consultants, and senior stakeholders, you will help ensure compliance with current legislation while driving continuous improvement across fire safety processes and standards.

This is a hands-on position suited to someone comfortable balancing technical expertise, contractor management, inspections, reporting, and stakeholder engagement.

Working Hours:
Monday to Thursday: 09:00 – 17:15
Friday: 09:00 – 17:00

Key Responsibilities
• Carry out inspections, audits, fire risk assessments, and compliance reviews
• Monitor contractor performance and ensure statutory compliance is maintained
• Provide technical guidance on fire safety legislation and best practice
• Support the development of policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks
• Assist with incident response and emergency planning
• Produce detailed reports, action plans, and recommendations
• Deliver fire safety awareness sessions
• Work collaboratively with residents, contractors, and external agencies
• Support wider building safety and compliance programmes

About You:

You will be an experienced fire safety or compliance professional with strong technical knowledge and the confidence to operate within a fast-paced property environment.
You will be capable of managing competing priorities, making sound decisions, and communicating effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

Essential Experience & Skills
• Experience within fire safety, building safety, compliance, or health & safety environments
• Strong understanding of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005
• Experience managing contractors and compliance programmes
• Knowledge of building construction, maintenance, and property compliance
• Ability to prioritise risk and manage complex safety issues effectively
• Strong reporting and stakeholder management skills
• Experience producing technical reports and presenting recommendations
• Strong IT skills and experience using compliance systems and databases

Qualifications
• Degree, HND/HNC, or equivalent experience in Fire Safety, Fire Engineering, Construction, Asset Management, or similar
• NEBOSH General Certificate
• Fire Safety qualification such as NEBOSH Fire Safety Certificate or equivalent
• Membership of IFE, CIOB, RICS, IOSH, or CIH would be advantageous
