Head of Inclusion (Senior Leadership Role)

Greater Manchester
£48,000 – £52,000
Monday–Friday | 8:15am – 4:00pm
Start: September 2026

The Opportunity

This is a key senior leadership position responsible for driving a high-quality, inclusive provision across multiple settings.

You will lead on inclusion strategy, SEND provision, and personal development, ensuring that every child receives the support they need to succeed. The role combines strategic oversight with hands-on leadership, shaping a culture where inclusion is embedded in every aspect of practice.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

Leading Inclusion Strategy

Set and deliver a clear vision for inclusion across all sites

Develop and implement strategic plans that drive measurable improvement

Use data and insight to identify priorities and close gaps

Overseeing SEND Provision

Act as the senior lead for SEND

Ensure strong systems for early identification, assessment, and support

Deliver consistent, high-quality practice aligned with statutory requirements

Develop and support teams to strengthen SEND delivery

Driving Personal Development

Lead a cohesive and impactful personal development offer

Ensure provision supports wellbeing, resilience, independence, and cultural capital

Embed pupil voice, equality, and community engagement

Ensuring Quality & Inspection Readiness

Maintain high standards aligned with regulatory frameworks

Lead audits, reviews, and quality assurance processes

Support leaders to evidence impact and sustain improvement

Building Capability Across Teams

Deliver training and professional development in inclusion and SEND

Promote reflective practice and a culture of continuous improvement

Working in Partnership

Develop strong relationships with families and external professionals

Coordinate support through effective multi-agency working

Represent the organisation at a strategic level

Safeguarding

Promote a strong safeguarding culture

Act in line with statutory guidance and internal procedures

Ensure concerns are identified, recorded, and escalated appropriately

What You’ll Bring

Qualifications & Knowledge

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

NPQSEN or equivalent SEND leadership qualification

Strong understanding of SEND legislation, safeguarding, and inclusive practice

Experience

Proven leadership of SEND or inclusion within an education setting

Experience improving outcomes for learners with additional needs

Experience working with a range of stakeholders, including external agencies

Strong understanding of data and how to use it to drive improvement

Skills

Strategic thinking and the ability to lead change

Confident communicator with the ability to influence at all levels

Highly organised, with the ability to manage competing priorities

Strong analytical and problem-solving capability

Personal Approach

Committed to equity and high-quality outcomes for all learners

Collaborative, reflective, and values-driven

Safeguarding Commitment
