Academics are working on behalf of a thriving secondary school in Basingstoke to recruit an ambitious and enthusiastic Head of PE for a permanent role starting in September 2026.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced PE Teacher ready to step into leadership, or for an established Head of Department seeking a new challenge within a supportive and forward-thinking school environment.
The PE department plays a central role in school life, delivering a broad and engaging curriculum alongside a strong extracurricular programme. The department is well-resourced and supported, providing an excellent platform for high-quality teaching, student participation, and sporting achievement.
The successful candidate will lead and develop the PE department, driving high standards of teaching and learning while promoting active lifestyles, teamwork, and student wellbeing across the school community.

Has a passion for Physical Education and school sport
Can provide strong leadership and support departmental development
Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills
