We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Senior Carer to join our care team in Portsmouth PO4. The successful candidate will support residents with high-quality person-centred care while supervising care staff and ensuring daily care standards are maintained.
Main Duties
* Provide personal care and emotional support to service users
* Administer and record medication
* Lead and support care staff during shifts
* Complete care plans, risk assessments, and daily reports
* Support residents with mobility, meals, hygiene, and activities
* Monitor residents’ wellbeing and report concerns to management
* Liaise with families, GPs, nurses, and healthcare professionals
* Ensure safeguarding and health & safety procedures are followed
* Assist with staff supervisions and training when required
Requirements
* Previous experience in a senior care or care assistant role
* NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care preferred
* Good communication and leadership skills
* Medication administration experience
* Enhanced DBS check or willingness to obtain one
* Right to work in the UK
* Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and evenings
