Main Duties

Provide tailored support to pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small group interventions
Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
Adapt learning activities to meet individual pupil needs
Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
Support pupils with communication, social interaction and independence skills
Monitor and record pupil progress and provide feedback to staff
Work collaboratively with teachers, parents and external agencies
Help create a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment
Uphold safeguarding policies and promote the welfare of all children
About You

Has experience working with children with SEND, ideally within a primary school setting
Is patient, caring and empathetic
Has strong communication and interpersonal skills
Can build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents
Is adaptable and able to respond to individual pupil needs
Demonstrates a proactive and positive attitude
Works effectively as part of a team
Has a genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development
Understands the importance of safeguarding and child protection
