6-8 Week Initial Contract (Potential Extension)

We’re working with a well-established civil engineering contractor delivering infrastructure works on a live project in the Wigan area. They are looking to bring in an experienced Civils Site Manager to support delivery on a short-term programme, with the potential for further work beyond this.

This role will focus on deep drainage and associated enabling works on a school redevelopment scheme.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee deep drainage works (including 300mm clay pipe installation)
Manage diversion of foul drainage systems
Support demolition/enabling works and site setup
Ensure health & safety compliance and maintain documentation
Coordinate site activities and attend client meetingsRequirements:

Proven experience managing civils projects, particularly deep drainage
Strong understanding of levels and setting out principles
SMSTS (or equivalent)
First Aid
Confident leading site operations and engaging with stakeholdersThis would suit either an experienced Site Manager or a strong Site Supervisor ready to step up, provided you have the technical grounding and confidence to run sections of work.

Start: June (option to start earlier for mobilisation)
