Contract/Project
We are looking for a caring and resilient Children’s Residential Support Worker to join our team in Hull. You will be working with young people aged 10 to 17 who have a range of mental health needs and may have experienced trauma or challenging life circumstances.
In this role, you will provide day-to-day care, emotional support, and guidance to help each young person feel safe, valued, and supported. You will encourage positive routines, build trust, and help them develop life skills and confidence.
Key responsibilities include:

Supporting young people with their emotional wellbeing and mental health
*
Helping them access education, activities, and community services
*
Managing challenging behaviour in a calm and professional way
*
Keeping accurate records and following safeguarding procedures
*
Working closely with colleagues, families, and other professionals
What we’re looking for:
*
Experience working with young people who have mental health needs
*
Understanding of safeguarding and trauma-informed care
*
Ability to stay calm under pressure and respond with empathy
*
Flexible approach to working shifts, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins
*
A relevant qualification in care, youth work, or mental health is desirable but not essential if you have strong experience
