The Opportunity:
Long Term Futures are seeking a compassionate and resilient Pastoral Support Assistant to join a specialist SEN provision in the Ealing area.
The setting supports pupils with complex needs, including Autism (ASD), SEMH, and communication difficulties, requiring a structured and therapeutic approach. You will play a key role in supporting pupils' emotional wellbeing, behaviour, and engagement, helping them overcome barriers to learning in a safe and nurturing environment.

Your Key Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 and small-group pastoral support for pupils with SEN
* Support emotional regulation, behaviour management, and social development
* Implement therapeutic and de-escalation strategies
* Work closely with SENCOs, teachers, and external professionals
* Monitor pupil wellbeing and contribute to support plans and reports
* Help create a safe, structured, and inclusive environment
* Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils and families

Requirements:
* Experience working with children or young people with SEN (ASD, SEMH)
* Strong communication and behaviour management skills
* Calm, empathetic, and resilient approach
* Ability to manage challenging behaviour and support emotional needs
* Understanding of safeguarding, wellbeing, and therapeutic practices
