The Role of Bookkeeper & Payroll Manager (Practice), Leicester
This is a varied and hands-on role combining bookkeeping and payroll responsibilities, working with multiple clients across the practice.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing and maintaining accurate financial records for a portfolio of clients
* Processing invoices, receipts, and payments
* Managing accounts payable and receivable
* Performing bank reconciliations and ensuring records are up to date
* Preparing and submitting VAT returns
* Supporting the accounts team with financial reporting
* Communicating directly with clients regarding financial information
Payroll Duties:
* Running end-to-end payroll (weekly, fortnightly, four-weekly, and monthly)
* Managing a portfolio of payroll clients
* Administering pension schemes across multiple providers
* Ensuring compliance with payroll legislation and deadlines
What We’re Looking For
* At least 5 years of experience within practice
* Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles and processes
* Experience using software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or similar
* Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines
* High attention to detail and accuracy
* Strong communication skills and client-focused mindset
