Prestigious Enterprise Company is currently seeking a SQL DBA and Systems Administrator. Candidate is responsible for the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and performance of critical SQL Server systems. The administrator is responsible for ensuring the availability and consistent performance of the database applications.

Responsibilities:

Manage all aspects of corporate SQL Server databases
Configure and maintain database Servers and processes
Monitor system's health and performance
Ensure high levels of performance, availability, sustainability and security
Analyze, solve, and correct issues in Real Time
Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes
Assist developers with query tuning and schema refinement
Provide 24x7 support for critical production systems
Perform scheduled maintenance, patching, and support release deployment activities after hours
Assist with general system administrator responsibilities
Primary on-site contact for Louisville data center, inclusive of its electrical, cooling, and fire suppression system
Primary support for Louisville office automation systems, including lighting controls and building security

Qualifications:

10+ years of Microsoft SQL database administrator experience
5+ years of experience with Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO) of enterprise database systems
5+ years of experience with database backup, restore and recovery models
5+ years of experience of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server
5+ years of experience with Windows server, including Active Directory
Exposure to integration among multiple SQL instances running HA and delegation
Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on company's success
Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
Proficient in use of service desk ticket systems and Microsoft office tools
Ability to identify, assess applicability, apply critical thinking, and apply new technologies and architectures in a high growth company
Ability to take direction but exercise independent thought and judgment
Ability to establish, monitor, and achieve goals with minimal supervision, including working with many deadlines, time requirement conflicts and management pressures
Collaborate across many teams within IT to deliver projects on time and on budget
Ability to manage multiple tasks and relationships within a fast-paced, team-oriented and lean environment
Excellent verbal communications- including the demonstrated ability to listen and to communicate
Subject to frequent interruptions; must be able to switch attention between tasks quickly
