The Opportunity

My client are a well renowned and leading provider of building services maintenance, who boast a portfolio including some of the most prestigious landmark and trophy buildings in the UK. The business are renowned for delivering a premium service within mechanical and electrical (hard services) maintenance, and operate as a service provider to property owners, occupiers and operators across the UK.

The Role

The role of the Account Manager will be to plan, coordinate and manage all aspects of the Planned Preventative (PPM) and Reactive Maintenance, and Small Works Projects associated with a high-profile client account in London, working in partnership with all stakeholders to ensure an exceptional service is delivered and maintained at all times.

The successful Account Manager is expected to be operationally hands on where necessary, as well as having full strategic, operational and financial responsibility for the account. You will be responsible for improving both operational and commercial performance through best practice, operational excellence and identifying opportunities for introducing new service lines and product offerings.

The Responsibilities

Responsible for the day to day running of the hard services maintenance contract, organising the site team and supply chain in order to meet contractual outputs and objectives

Maintain customer relations including progress meetings and site visits

Managing and having accountability for the Profit & Loss (P&L), maintaining agreed profit margins

Managing a team of engineering professionals and contract support effectively, to maximise team performance

Assist in the preparation of standard operating procedures (SOPs), emergency and contingency plans

Ensure the provision of healthy and safe working conditions and regularly review the H&S policy

The Requirements

A qualification in health & safety (NEBOSH, IOSH) is desirable

Strong commercial acumen is essential, and experience of managing P&L is preferable

Recognised technical qualification; City & Guilds, HNC/HND desirable

Excellent communication and management skills are essential

Able to work well under pressure, and make sound decisions, while being reliable and dedicated.
