The role: Join a small, mission-driven digital team working to modernise critical case management systems that support access to justice for victims of violent crime. The team are at the start of an exciting discovery phase to explore how best to replace Legacy systems with modern, user-centred digital services. As Technical Lead, you'll be a key contributor from day one, helping shape the future of our systems and services.

You'll also contribute to our broader digital work, including live public-facing services and experiments with AI-powered tools to enhance efficiency and improve user experience. Our services support people impacted by trauma, so empathy and sensitivity to users' needs are central to our work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and lead technical strategy and scalable solution design
• Guide architecture during discovery and delivery phases
• Mentor technical teams and support recruitment
• Collaborate with internal teams and senior stakeholders
• Promote quality, reuse, and alignment with wider tech strategy

What the client is looking for:

• Proven experience modernising Legacy systems
• Strong leadership in multi-disciplinary agile teams
• Skilled in AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and TypeScript/Node
• Comfortable in discovery and design within complex domains
• Strong communicator and inclusive collaborator

Desirable:

• Experience with Oracle, WebLogic, SQL Server, and TotalAgility
• Familiarity with DDD, TDD, GitHub Actions, CircleCI, Prometheus, and Grafana
