Lead Technical Architect/Technical Architect - Public Sector

Summer-Browning Associates is supporting our client in the Public Sector, who is seeking a Lead Technical Architect for an initial 12-month assignment, with the possibility of extension.

Location: Hybrid working - 2-3 days per week on-site in Glasgow or able to travel to Glasgow 2-3 days per month as required.

The ideal candidate will hold active SC clearance and have extensive experience as a Senior/Lead Technical Architect, including the following skills and qualifications:

• Experience in mentoring, coaching, and managing senior and mid-level technical architects.
• Skill in guiding technical teams, influencing technical decisions, and identifying opportunities for digital transformation.
• Experience in defining, maintaining, and owning the technical strategy and roadmap for services.
• Proven ability to evaluate technical concepts and translate them into technical designs.
• Familiarity with modern development practices such as domain-driven design, test-driven development, continuous integration, and continuous delivery.
• Proficiency in programming languages, particularly TypeScript and Node.js.
• Experience with AWS using infrastructure as code, specifically Terraform.
• Knowledge of container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.
• Experience with public GitHub repositories and additional tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, App Insights, GitHub Actions, CircleCI, and more.
• Familiarity with Legacy systems, including Oracle Database, WebLogic & Forms, Tungsten TotalAgility, and SQL Server.
