Deskside Support Analyst - Essex - £35k - Must Drive!
Purpose of Role
Provide an end to end deskside service supporting the firms technology solutions from end point hardware through to networks, audio visual, voice, mobile and core applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting the end to end life cycle of user account management, authentication and security setup, including the configuration of integrated applications and services all tied into our Microsoft on-premise Active Directory and M365 cloud systems, including Exchange online. Additionally supporting and maintaining our multi-factor-authentication services.
- Deploying and maintaining our end user equipment ranging from Desktop, Laptop and Tablet PCs as well as mobile phones, all managed via the Microsoft Intune unified endpoint management system. This could include new starters and equipment upgrades as and when required.
- Work closely with the firms primary managed service providers to ensure that user support calls are followed up promptly and if more systemic changes are required, ensuring that this is fed back and changes are made to prevent repeat incidents.
- Must be able to drive and be comfortable working in multiple offices within Essex as and when required
- Project work consisting of the continued rollout of physical devices with a local working model of application use, which is replacing the Legacy Terminal Server environment. Some of these projects could also range from networking upgrades, mobile implementation and application upgrades and replacement, including cloud implementation.
- Support for the firms terminal server or RDS environment, which is being demoted to a second tier service as local working takes over. This needs to be monitored and updated given that it still provides a business continuity service.
- Keep up to date with changing technologies specifically in the legal market as well as the wider IT world and especially cloud and AI technology
- Ensure that the support documentation, training and informal knowledge content is maintained and shared the firm as a whole and specifically where it relates to cyber security and compliance.
- Support and maintain our remote connectivity solutions, including laptops, tablets and mobile phones.
- Assistance in the management of our third party suppliers and vendors to ensure excellent service level delivery and best value.
Key Technologies and skills:
- Windows 11 support and management including the use of Microsoft Intune
- Microsoft RDS solution based on Windows Server 2019 and beyond
- Microsoft Endpoint Manager, (Intune)
- Microsoft Office 365 deployment and customisation
- Application support and maintenance
- Management of Microsoft Active Directory
- Scripting in either DOS or PowerShell
- Microsoft EntraID maintenance
- Microsoft Exchange Online
- Legal Practice and Case Management Systems such as Partner for Windows
- Adobe Standard
- BigHand Digital Dictation solution
- Vipre cloud Email Hygeine platform
- Office 365 applications
