Overview:
My client is seeking a Senior Engineer - Infrastructure to deliver high-quality 2nd and 3rd line technical support across their network and related technologies. This role is pivotal in executing infrastructure projects and ensuring seamless integration during domain migrations with minimal disruption.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert technical support and troubleshooting for the Trust's core network and server infrastructure.
• Lead domain migration activities, focusing on Active Directory and related services.
• Validate user access, group policies, and security settings post-migration.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for migration processes and configurations.
• Communicate complex IM&T issues effectively to stakeholders, ensuring clarity and understanding.
• Supervise junior team members and support staff as necessary to ensure effective service delivery.
• Engage with third-party suppliers to align solutions with service levels.

Essential Skills and Experience:

• Significant experience in an IT Support department at 2nd and 3rd line support levels.
• Proficiency in VMWare, Microsoft Active Directory, and network architecture.
• Strong understanding of Enterprise Wireless Infrastructure, Local Area Infrastructure, and Wide Area Infrastructure.
• Ability to work with Alcatel Switches and diagnose network issues effectively.
• Experience with technical documentation and project management.
• Familiarity with Thin Client technologies and Windows OS upgrades.

Qualifications:

• Relevant computing qualification to degree level or equivalent experience.

Working Environment:
This role requires effective communication with a variety of stakeholders and may involve on-call support during evenings and weekends. Candidates must be adaptable to travel between sites and transport equipment as needed.
