ABAP developer (senior), SAP S/4Hana, BTP OData Berlin, Germany

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain custom programs using ABAP (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms).
• You will be a strong hands on developer, coding, talking, coordinating, steering the IT and business teams, clear & perfect communication is crucial.
• Develop and extend S/4HANA applications using modern ABAP (ABAP CDS views, OData, AMDP, etc.).
• Integrate SAP systems with external applications and interfaces using BAPIs, IDocs, and REST/SOAP APIs.
• Optimize performance and ensure clean, scalable code practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve incidents, bugs, and data inconsistencies.
• Collaborate with functional teams (FI, MM, SD, HR, etc.) to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Contribute to SAP project life cycle: blueprinting, realization, testing, and go-live.

Required Qualifications

• 6+ years of SAP ABAP development experience.
• Strong experience with SAP S/4HANA architecture and capabilities.

Expertise in:

• ABAP Objects
• CDS Views, AMDP
• SmartForms, Adobe Forms
• BAPIs, BADIs, User Exits
• OData and Fiori integration
• Proficiency with debugging, performance tuning, and code optimization.
• Experience with SAP modules such as FI, MM, SD is a plus.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

Preferred Attributes

• SAP certification in ABAP or S/4HANA development.
• Experience with agile methodologies (eg, Scrum).
• Familiarity with SAP BTP, CAP, or Fiori Elements.
