Assembly Technician - 6 months - Ware

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Assembly Technician to join our production team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical and/or electrical assembly, with the ability to read technical drawings, build and test components, and ensure all finished products meet stringent quality and safety standards.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone with excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and fixing faults during the assembly process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble mechanical and/or electrical components as per engineering drawings and specifications.

  • Perform functional testing on completed assemblies to ensure proper operation.

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair faults as necessary.

  • Replace defective or faulty components with accuracy and care.

  • Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.

  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and machinery safely and efficiently.

  • Perform basic maintenance on equipment and assembly tools.

  • Adhere strictly to all health and safety protocols and workplace standards.

Skills and Experience:

  • 4-7 years of experience in an assembly technician or similar hands-on engineering role.

  • Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.

  • Competence using hand tools, power tools, and workshop machinery.

  • Understanding of mechanical/electrical systems and fault-finding techniques.

  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.

  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently and meet production deadlines.
