Juniper Consultant

3/6 Month Contract. Inside IR35 London based onsite

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Juniper Consultant with deep expertise in Juniper SRX platforms to join a high-impact project in London. The ideal candidate will be confident working at a JNCIP/E level, with strong hands-on experience in CLI-based configuration and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, configure, and troubleshoot Juniper SRX Firewalls in complex enterprise environments.
• Implement security policies, NAT, VPNs, and routing protocols using CLI.
• Collaborate with network architects and security teams to ensure robust and secure network infrastructure.
• Provide documentation and knowledge transfer to internal teams.
• Participate in change management and incident resolution processes.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience with Juniper SRX Firewalls in enterprise environments.
• JNCIP or JNCIE certification (Security or Enterprise) is a good to have.
• Strong command-line interface (CLI) configuration skills.
• In-depth knowledge of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), VPNs (IPSec, SSL), and Firewall policies.
• Experience working in environments governed by IR35 regulations.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Desirable:

• Experience with automation tools (eg, Ansible, Python Scripting for Junos).
• Familiarity with other Juniper platforms (MX, EX).
• Previous consultancy or client-facing experience.
