Java Developer (Hybrid - Belgium)

About the Role

Join the Team and play a key role in migrating critical government applications from a private cloud to Microsoft Azure. As a Medior Java Developer, you will help build a secure, scalable, and high-performance data integration platform rooted in DevOps principles. Your work will support digital transformation initiatives that impact public services like low-emission zones, student allowances, and COVID attestations.

What You'll Do

• Prepare existing Java applications for migration to a public cloud environment

• Collaborate with the DevOps lead to develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes

• Enhance platform security, reliability, and scalability

• Define and implement best practices for testing, development, and operations

Must-Have Skills & Experience (3+ years minimum):

• Strong Java development skills (Java/J2EE)

• Experience with Spring Boot framework

• Proficient in REST & SOAP API development

• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines

• Comfortable working in Agile teams

• Fluency in Dutch (C2 level)

• Relevant certifications or equivalent practical experience

Nice-to-Have:

• Kubernetes knowledge

• OAuth authentication experience

• Ability to debug, test, and manage tasks independently
