Our client are a top tier consultancy looking for an Automation Tester with Active SC and AI Experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop robust, scalable automated test suites for functional, integration, and regression testing.

• Develop test strategies and scenarios for AI/ML-enabled features and data-driven services.

• Collaborate with developers, DevOps engineers, data scientists, and business analysts in agile ceremonies.

• Test RESTful APIs, microservices, and web-based UIs.

• Validate data pipelines and model inference outputs.

• Log defects and work closely with developers to resolve issues promptly.

• Monitor and enhance the performance, coverage, and reliability of automated tests.

• Ensure compliance with security, accessibility, and quality standards aligned with GDS best practices.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Active SC Clearance (mandatory - must be valid at the start of the contract).

• Strong experience in automated testing for enterprise applications.

• Expertise with Selenium, Playwright or Cypress for UI automation.

• Strong experience testing REST APIs using tools like Postman, REST Assured, or Karate.

• Experience with JavaScript, Java, or Python for writing test scripts.

• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).

• Familiarity with AI/ML testing, such as model accuracy validation, input/output behaviour, bias testing, or AI explainability.

• Experience in agile delivery environments (Scrum/Kanban) within the public sector or highly regulated industries.
