Urgent need - SAP S/4 Cutover Lead - 6 month contract based near Munich with likely extensions

Euros market rates and 50% + Onsite working and expenses will be covered.

Job Description:

We are urgently seeking a highly experienced SAP S/4HANA Cutover Lead for a major Global client based in the Munich area. The client needs someone immediately to take charge of the final stages of preparation for a go-live around November 1st.

This is a critical role within a complex SAP S/4HANA transformation program, with a minimum 6-month contract and likely follow-on rollouts across Europe thereafter.

Role Overview:

As the Cutover Lead, you will be fully responsible for planning and managing the entire cutover process leading to a successful go-live. You'll work across functional, technical, and business teams to coordinate all cutover activities, resolve issues, manage risk, and report up to senior leadership.

Key Requirements:

• Ideally 15+ years of SAP experience, including 4+ years in S/4HANA
• Proven track record as an SAP Cutover Lead on complex transformations
• Able to spend at least 50% of the time onsite in the Munich metro area
• Fluent in both German and English
• Strong stakeholder management, planning, and issue resolution skills

Core Responsibilities:

• Own and develop the overall cutover strategy and detailed execution plan
• Lead and coordinate cutover activities across multiple stakeholder groups (technical, functional, business)
• Set up and facilitate cutover planning meetings, war rooms, and readiness checkpoints
• Manage cutover dependencies, risks, and mitigation plans
• Drive issue resolution and escalate critical blockers
• Provide regular status reporting to program leadership and executive stakeholders
• Ensure alignment with data migration, testing, and deployment teams
