Product Owner - Agriculture/AgTech Domain

Remote/Hybrid | Contract Position

We're looking for a Product Owner with experience in agriculture, agritech, or a related field to lead the delivery of digital products that support complex operations across agricultural systems. You'll play a key role in aligning development with business needs, driving product strategy, and ensuring high-value feature delivery in an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring it aligns with business goals and user needs.

• Act as the primary liaison between stakeholders and the development team, translating requirements into actionable user stories.

• Facilitate sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives to drive continuous improvement.

• Oversee the development and delivery of digital solutions, monitoring performance and gathering user feedback to enhance product capabilities.

• Contribute to the strategic product roadmap, working closely with leadership and domain experts.

• Collaborate with end-users to gather detailed product insights and ensure user-centric design.

• Stay up-to-date with industry trends to inform product direction and innovation.

• Support the creation of training materials, user documentation, and knowledge base content.

• Assist in testing and validation of system updates and enhancements, ensuring quality and usability.

• Ensure timely resolution of product issues and support queries to maintain user satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager, ideally within agriculture, biotech, or related domains.

• Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and software development life cycles.

• Strong experience gathering and refining user requirements, developing epics and user stories.

• Excellent communication and facilitation skills - able to align cross-functional teams around a common vision.

• Familiarity with agriculture-specific software, breeding systems, or digital farm tools is a strong advantage.

• Ability to create clear documentation and deliver product training when needed.
