Backend Developer - Orbital/Taxi (Metro Bank) | Java | AWS | Contract (Outside IR35)

We are looking for a Backend Developer with hands-on experience in Orbital/Taxi Scripting, as used within Metro Bank platforms. This is not a standard Java developer role. Please only apply if you meet the essential criteria.

Key Requirements:

• Strong experience with Orbital/Taxi Scripting (Metro Bank specific)

• Solid Back End development background in Java (including Spring Boot, microservices)

• Proficient in AWS platform debugging and resolution (CloudWatch, EC2, RDS, etc.)

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and API integrations

Desirable:

• Previous experience working in financial services or banking environments

• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, or similar tools

• Knowledge of Metro Bank systems and workflows

Important: Candidates without direct Orbital/Taxi experience will not be considered.
