Cobol Technical Analyst & Developer

Job description

As a technical analyst/developer, you will perform technical analysis and development for existing Cobol and Procobol applications or for new modules to be developed in Cobol.

Your areas of responsibility and the resulting tasks include:

• Analyzing requests, developing structured solutions, performing tests and ensuring implementation and post-production follow-up.
• Participate in the resolution of problems (production incidents) by identifying the cause, proposing solutions and coordinating their implementation.
• Preparation of clear documentation.
• Follow-up of the test execution in collaboration with the functional analyst, checking the quality of the programs and guaranteeing performance optimization.
• Finally, you will ensure that the technical files are complete and compliant and supervise the work of the programmers.

Location:

3 days per week required onsite in Brussels and 2 days per week can be remote, candidates should ideally already be living in Belgium.
