HV System Validation Engineer (Onsit role)

The Role

High Voltage System Validation engineer in UK. The validation engineer needs to be in UK with Class3 license and be an expert on the HV system. Associate should have worked before on PHEV or BEV car and have a very good understanding on the HV system and issue resolution.

Your responsibilities:

1. High Voltage Systems Knowledge: Understanding of HV system design for PHEV & BEV, operation, and safety protocols (typically 400V+).

2. Electrical Engineering Principles: Proficiency in electrical and electronics engineering principles, especially related to HV systems.

3. Battery and Power Electronics: Knowledge of battery systems, power electronics, and HV components (eAC, Heater, Inverter, DCDC, Charger AC & DC).

4. System Testing and Validation: Ability to develop and implement test plans for HV components and systems, including validation of performance, reliability, and issue replication.

5. Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA): Experience with FMEA for identifying potential failures and preventive actions.

6. Data Analysis and Statistical Techniques: Skills in analysing data to identify trends and root causes of issues.

7. Software Tools: Familiarity with tools such as MATLAB, LabVIEW, CANalyzer,INCA, CANoe, and quality management software.

8. Thermal and Mechanical Knowledge: Understanding of thermal management systems for HV components.

9. Safety Standards and Compliance: Knowledge of relevant standards (ISO 26262, IEC 61851, SAE J1772) and safety regulations for HV systems.

10. Diagnostics and Troubleshooting: Strong skills in diagnosing and troubleshooting HV systems and components.

Essential skills/knowledge/experience:

4. A full UK driving license with less than 6 penalty points, no disqualification, 2 years accident-free record

5. UK Class 3 license for BEV/PHEV Test vehicles testing and validation.

Desirable skills/knowledge/experience:

1. Cross-functional Collaboration: Ability to work with engineering, production, and quality teams to drive quality improvements.

2. Communication and Presentation: Strong skills in presenting technical information clearly to various stakeholders.

3. Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail for identifying potential quality issues.
