Commercial Manager - Technology Procurement (Public Sector) - 550/day inside IR35, London/Hybrid - flexible, 6 months
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Commercial Manager to lead and shape technology procurement strategy within a public sector context. This is a pivotal role for a commercially astute professional with a strong background in sourcing and deploying technology solutions across agile environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead end-to-end procurement of technology solutions including CRMs, helpdesk systems, SaaS/PaaS platforms, and professional services.
Navigate and leverage CCS Framework Agreements and the Digital Marketplace to deliver value-driven procurement outcomes.
Manage high-value and open competition tenders in compliance with public sector procurement regulations.
Build and scale a commercial function by replicating proven models'scoping contracts, mapping pipelines, and engaging stakeholders.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to align commercial strategies with business objectives.
Contribute to strategic planning and process development, or lead project management initiatives as required.
Essential Skills Experience:
Proven experience in public sector procurement, particularly within central government.
Strong working knowledge of CCS Frameworks and public procurement compliance.
Demonstrated success in stakeholder engagement and client-facing roles.
Experience in building commercial functions from the ground up.
Familiarity with procurement and contract management tools such as Jaggaer and Atamis.
Proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel for pricing and evaluation.
Qualifications:
CIPS/MCIPS qualified or actively working towards certification.
Desirable:
Experience in strategy development or formal project management methodologies.
