Systems Engineer (Integration/Testing/Verification) - Contract role - Dorset/Hybrid - £competitive

Synergize Consulting are now hiring for a Systems Testing Engineer to work at a leading defence company on a contract basis.

The successful candidate will take responsibility for the testing, i ntegration and verification of individual components to create assemblies and subsystems. Subsystems that comply with the requirements, specifications and environmental conditions can proceed to full system and platform integration.

Responsibilities include:

- Managing testing environments and ensuring that testing plans are executed

- Providing expertise in systems acceptance and integration testing

- Verifying hardware and software in line with planned test phases

- Testing the integration of applications and features that connect with communication networks

Experience required:

- A strong background in systems engineering, with a focus on the integration, verification and testing of components and subsystems according to design specifications

- An in-depth knowledge of network and communications protocols, particularly related to Firewalls, Routers, WAN/LAN and HF/UHF

- Knowledge of RF engineering and system testing

- The ability to produce test scripts to demonstrate subsystem requirement compliance

- Strong skills in integration testing and the ability to verify and record test outcomes

- Previous defence sector experience would be an advantage but not essential

- Excellent communication skills and experience in working with diverse, multi-discipline technical teams

- Due to the nature of the client, it would be an advantage for candidates to hold, or be eligible and willing to undergo, a certain level of security clearance (SC).
