Security Engineer required with Scripting and Python skills in the cybersecurity space on a contract basis for 6 months (extendable), working on a hybrid basis. This role will require you to be on site in Central London 3 days per week.

Security Engineer Requirements:

• Scripting and Python skills in the cybersecurity space - more aligned with an engineering role rather than that of a SOC analyst
• Understanding of AD powershell, Linux/containers (Open Telemetry, Open Search)
• Knowledge of the following Cyber Technologies: CrowdStrike NG SIEM, Crowdstrike EDR, e-mail/web security via Microsoft365 (currently Forcepoint mail & web Proxy technology in place today)
• Security understanding of alerts - phishing emails, knowledge of EDR SIEM alerts (Crowdstrike)
• Understanding of network security alerts (Our client are happy to explain and educate if there are technical gaps)
• Positive attitude - happy to ask questions if there are technical challenges
• SecOps understanding
• 3 days on-site working in client central London offices
