WAF System Administrator - Ubika | Long Term Contract

We are supporting a high-profile IT programme focused on securing and maintaining critical digital services across the public sector. This customer is looking for a WAF System Administrator to join on a Full time freelance basis operating out of Luxembourg.

In this critical role, you will take full ownership of the day-to-day operation of the Firewall system, with a strong emphasis on Ubika WAF. You'll be the frontline guardian of national digital infrastructure, delivering rapid incident response, proactive system monitoring, and flawless certificate management to ensure uninterrupted service. Beyond operations, you'll play a key part in securing API integrations, onboarding new partners, managing access controls, and fine-tuning security policies.

We're looking for a proven WAF specialist with at least five years of hands-on experience in security operations. Deep, practical knowledge of Ubika WAF is non-negotiable - you'll need to hit the ground running. You should have a solid command of HTTP/HTTPS, TLS/PKI, and API standards like REST and SOAP, with the confidence to manage real-world threats and complex configurations. Familiarity with OWASP Top 10 risks, Linux-based environments, and Scripting or web development skills (such as Python or JavaScript) will give you an edge in this high-impact, technically demanding role.

Fluency in both French and English is essential, and the role is fully onsite in Luxembourg.
