Employee Relations Specialist
Birmingham - hybrid working (3 days onsite)
Daily Rate: £250 - £350 (inside IR35 via umbrella)
Contract End Date: 31st October 2025

Are you a skilled Employee Relations Specialist looking for your next challenge? Our client is seeking a dedicated professional to join their dynamic team. With the office conveniently located just 7 minutes from Birmingham Snow Hill train station and 2 minutes from St. Chads tram station, your daily commute will be a breeze!

What You'll Be Doing:
In this role, you will operate both reactively and proactively, managing individual cases of high complexity and risk.

Your responsibilities will include:
Providing full case management expertise for intricate Employee Relations cases while ensuring colleague wellbeing and a safe resolution process.
Acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to identify root causes and implement continuous improvement initiatives based on data insights.
Delivering timely and accurate advice on employment law, policy, and procedures, ensuring compliance with business requirements.
Collaborating closely with Senior Business Leaders to manage your designated caseload effectively.
analysing trends and themes within your Specialist Hub to drive prevention and improvement interventions.
Logging and updating all activities in case management systems in accordance with standard operating procedures.
Supporting less experienced ER & HR colleagues through coaching and mentoring.
Designing and leading training sessions, as well as ad hoc projects related to ER processes.

What You'll Need to Succeed:
To thrive in this role, you should possess the following skills and experience:

Extensive experience in managing complex Employee Relations cases within a fast-paced environment.
A strong understanding of Employment Law and the ACAS Code of practise.
Proven ability to analyse employee data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
Strong negotiation and conflict resolution abilities, enabling you to mediate disputes effectively.
Capability to manage your workload autonomously while meeting Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Proficiency in case management systems and Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint.
