Seeking an experienced Architect to technically lead design, integration & deployment of scalable applications in a microservices environment. Modernising complex enterprise systems, using Apache Camel for integration and AWS for infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, design, and implement resilient cloud solutions using core AWS services
- Develop and optimise microservices using Java (8/11/17) and Spring Boot
- Lead system integration using Apache Camel and Enterprise Integration Patterns
- Establish best practices for development, deployment, and platform security
- Provide technical leadership across application and infrastructure architecture
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (developers, DevOps, and stakeholders)
- Conduct code reviews, mentor junior team members, and drive quality standards
- Build, document, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines
- Troubleshoot production issues and lead root cause analysis
- Own & improve Legacy integration, including technical documentation updates
Essential Skills
- Java (8/11/17), Spring Boot - experienced in J2EE development
- Apache Camel (routing, processors, EIP patterns) - hands on enterprise integration
- AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda, ECS/EKS, API Gateway, SQS/SNS, RDS, DynamoDB)
- RESTful APIs, event-driven architecture, JSON based communication
- CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)
- Docker, Kubernetes (EKS preferred)
- Kafka/RabbitMQ/ActiveMQ/AWS SQS/SNS messaging systems expertise
- Monitoring tools (CloudWatch, ELK, Prometheus, Datadog)
- Strong knowledge of OOP, design patterns, and microservices architecture
- Excellent debugging and performance tuning skills
- Agile development methodologies (Scrum/Kanban)
Desirable Skills
- Terraform or CloudFormation exposure
- AWS Certification (eg Solutions Architect - Professional)
- Security and compliance best practices (IAM, VPC, encryption)
