Role Overview
Lead the strategic vision and operational delivery of the Compute portfolio within a cloud-native infrastructure product line. Manage life cycle and evolution of virtualization and OS image management platforms, driving key initiatives like VMware to KVM migration in a hybrid cloud environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and own the product strategy for Compute virtualization and OS image life cycle management
• Oversee full product life cycle: concept, design, deployment, and operational stability
• Translate business needs into clear product specifications, roadmaps, and release plans
• Coordinate two sub-portfolios: Compute Virtualization (VMM, HVM, K8M) and OS Image Manager (Red Hat Satellite, Ansible Automation)
• Drive transition strategies, including the migration from VMware to KVM platforms
• Act as product manager, consulting with architecture, delivery, operations teams, and stakeholders
• Promote cross-functional alignment across engineering, operations, leadership, anD other product lines
• Define portfolio governance, regularly update stakeholders on progress, risks, and KPIs

Must-Have Experience

• 7+ years in IT infrastructure with focus on compute and virtualization
• 3+ years in product management or portfolio leadership roles
• Deep knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware, KVM, Hypervisors)
• Experience managing compute products in private or public cloud environments
• Proven success managing complex technical products through full life cycle
• Skilled in defining product strategy, roadmaps, and writing specifications
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
• Fluent English communication (C1+)

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with Kubernetes and container orchestration
• Knowledge of OS image life cycle tools like Red Hat Satellite and Ansible
• Product Owner or Project Management certification
• Experience in private cloud build-up
• Fluent German (optional)
